(with thanks to James Hudnall): The Tracking Board is reporting that Superman Returns and X-Men: Days of Future Past director Bryan Singer is developing James Hudnall’s fantasy comic Age of Heroes for film.
The strip, drawn by John Ridgway, has appeared most recently in the first volume of STRIP Magazine in the UK (available digitally on iTunes from ROK Comics), and James released a novelisation of the stories last year, Hell’s Reward, intended to be the first in a series.
The comic follows a group of misfits in a fantasy land ruled over by gods. When the gods disappear, the misfits are brought together to protect the land against the monsters and arcane magic that now roam loose.
Tracking Board reports that Singer has brought on Alex Hollister to write the script, and Marc Berliner to co-produce with David Engel and Stephen Emery, representing Circle of Confusion.
