Comics writer and publisher Jim Alexander is to host a free comic book workshop at the next Toy & Comic Mart in Edinburgh in September.
Organised by Hero Conventions the Mart will have other yet-to-be-announced guests along with game playing opportunities and much more.
Jim’s first publishing gig was for the Judge Dredd Megazine, writing Calhab Justice. Since then he has written for DC Comics (Birds of Prey, Batman 80-Page Giant), Marvel (Marvel Milestones) and Tokyopop (Star Trek Manga). ‘King’s Crown’ – written by Jim and drawn by Richard Corben – has been adapted as Episode 1 of the upcoming TV series Metal Hurlant Chronicles.
He now has his own publishing imprint, aptly titled Planet Jimbot, whose titles include Amongst the Stars, Good Cop, Bad Cop and the upcoming Wolf Country, drawn by Luke Cooper.
