There not one but two items of Lakes International Comic Art Festival news this morning, with the event opening applications for tables from comic creators for its 2020 Comics Clock Tower, and a new podcast to savour from the team headed up by Ian Loxam and Nikki Bates.
The Festival has just opened applications from comic creators for tables for its Comics Clock Tower at the Lakes International Comic Art Festival 2020 in Kendal, taking place Friday 9th to Sunday 11th October 2020, with the Comics Clock Tower at Kendal Town Hall open for business as usual on the Saturday and Sunday. Admission to the venue will again be free.
The Festival’s first guest announcements will be made soon, reflecting a large international guest list from Asia, Europe and North America. All the event’s popular elements are set to return including guest panels, Live Draws, Family Zone, exhibitions and much more.
The first edition of the Lakes International Comic Art Festival Podcast for 2020 offers recording of one of 2019’s most popular panels: “My Own Private Hell” with Junko Mizuno (Hellbaby), Sean Phillips ( Hellblazer), Duncan Fregredo (Hellboy) and Lawrence Campbell (Hellboy).
The panel is hosted by Chris Thompson and features artists creating their own hell inspired art and talking about their processes and work.
