Latest 2000AD Thrill-Cast reveals what’s in store for 2018 for Galaxy’s Greatest Comic – and Treasury collections

2000AD Thrill-Cast - 2000 AD Thrill-Cast: What's in store for 2018!

From Charley’s War to Halo Jones,  we’ve already revealed in two posts (here for 20000AD, here for Treasury of British Comics releases) that it’s going to be a busy year for Rebellion, with 34 new graphic novels due to be unleashed. From the devastation of World War One in the definitive edition of Charley’s War, to the hijinks of Von Hoffman’s Invasion, and the newly coloured adventures of Ballad of Halo Jones, 2018 promises to be a celebration of all that’s best – past and present – in British comics.

In the company’s latest Thrill-Cast, host Michael Molcher (aka Molch-R) is joined by Rebellion Publishing’s Head of Books and Comic Books, Ben Smith, and graphic novels editor Keith Richardson to discuss what’s coming up from 2000AD and the Treasury of British Comics this year, from the Dickensian struggles imposed on comic book characters of the 1970s to the work it takes to restore old comic books to vivid new life.

Revealing Rebellion now holds some 600,000 pages of original art and hinting at some favourite strips of yesteryear that may or may not work their way into the company’s 2019 schedule, this is very much a must listen.

The 2000 AD Thrill-Cast is the award-winning podcast that takes you behind-the-scenes at the Galaxy’s Greatest Comic! As well as interviewing top creators and famous fans, it also brings you announcements, competitions, and much more
