Creative Concern are hosting their first Creatives for Change “Mixer” event in Manchester next month, the creative agency that has been an integral part of promoting the Lakes International Comic Art Festival for a number of years.
Creatives for Change is a not-for-profit initiative hosted by Creative Concern. Tickets for this free Mixer event on Tuesday 14th November at GRUB in Manchester are going fast, so book soon.
“Join us to discuss the positive power of collaboration and creativity,” says Chris Dessent, Founder Director of Creative Concern. “The Mixer from Creatives for Change is all about how collaboration and creativity can be used to create positive change.
“We’ve brought together a great line-up of visual artists, film producers and storytellers who all have tales to tell and experience to share. Themes likely to be discussed over the evening include climate change, community and our ever changing relationship with the environment.”
The line up includes producer, writer and environmentalist Paul Goodenough, Founder of Rewriting Extinction, comic artist Sayra Begum and public artist Venessa Scott. There will also be live music, food vendors and more.
Tickets are free – book here – with an optional donation. Capacity is limited so booking is essential. Any money raised will go to this year’s charity, Rewriting Extinction, which brings together the environmental, activism and storytelling community to save as many species from extinction as possible.
