This weekend marked the 100th anniversary of the birth of the legendary British comedian Tony Hancock on 12th May 1924, and MCM Expo London is to mark it with a special event on 26th May.
B7 Comics associate publisher Helen Quigley and graphic novel artist Keith Page (whose credits also include Commando and Dan Dare) will discuss the enduring appeal of Tony Hancock, and share some of the background to the making of the much-praised graphic novel, Hancock: The Lad Himself.
The Hancock: The Lad Himself panel takes place live on stage on Sunday 26th May 2024 at 3.15pm.
Admission to this special panel is included in the price of your ticket to the full event – booking details here.
Unfortunately, actor Kevin McNally (Pirates of the Caribbean, Supernatural, Doctor Who) who recreated some of the 1950s radio shows starring Tony Hancock for The Missing Hancocks has had to drop out of the event.
• For more information on the huge range of guests at this event head to mcmcomiccon.com/london
• Hancock: The Lad Himself, published by B7 Media, is available here
This item was updated on Tuesday 14th May to reflect changes to the panel lineup
