Hot on the heels of the release of the Doctor Who Appreciation Society’s free to view Celestial Toyroom 2017 Annual, they’ve just published Cosmic Masque III – 96 pages of magazine all about being a fan of the long-running SF TV show.
Edited by Grant Bull and downthetubes very own Ian Wheeler, with layout by Nick Holland, it’s full of fiction, reviews, interviews and articles, including: interviews with Darren Langlands, director of Last Man on Earth, a crowd funded short film about Colin Baker, fan film maker Simon Wellings and Alisa Stern, one of the team behind the fan film animation Doctor Puppet; and a series of visual articles exposing the similarities between the Doctor’s companions and at least one pop star.
It also includes a great interview with David Howe, who is trying to set up a Doctor Who merchandise museum.
Some articles and fiction have a distinctly Christmas flavour, reflecting both the release date, and the impending debut of the eagerly anticipated Doctor Who Christmas special.
• As with all DWAS e-magazines, Cosmic Masque III is free for everyone to download. Click here for more details and to download
