If you haven’t already taken a break from the Thrill-sucking realities of everyday life to escape into the worlds of the Galaxy’s Greatest Comic, here’s a quick roundup of what’s on offer in 2000AD Prog 2409, on sale now in all good newsagents and comic shops – and Judge Dredd Megazine 474, too!
The Meg has plenty of bonus zarjazness on offer, leading with a brand-new Judge Dredd thriller from Mike Carroll and Nick Percival leading the action in the new Judge Dredd Megazine, Issue 474, as a Psi-Judge makes the mistake of trying to penetrate the lawman’s mind, alongside the latest instalments of Devlin Waugh, Death Cap, Lawless, Fargo & McBane and Cadet Rico, plus a new all-ages strip makes its debut in the shape of Honor Vincent and Stewart K. Moore’s Cursed Earth-set “Riley’s Rebels”. More on that here.
Plus… as we’ve previously reported, annuals are making a comeback at Rebellion, after the success of last year’s Treasury of British Comics Annual. We’re not only getting another one of those (on sale now), but also the hardback 2000AD Annual has returned after an absence of thirty-four years, and will be available to purchase from the webstore at the end of this month, in both regular and webshop exclusive editions.
Karl Stock catches up with the creators that have been working on the new stories you’ll find inside both titles, with many revealing that the Christmas annual was their first exposure to comics as a child, underlining just what a traditional part they played in the seasonal festivities.
All this and much more – enjoy, creeps!
