Heathside Trading Ltd. has announced an agreement with MGM to become a licensee for Stargate that will see the release of a line that will include die-cast ships, prop replicas and figures based on the Stargate library from spring 2024.
The line will be sold through selected retail partners, as well as direct-to-consumer through MasterReplicas.com – and will include ships and more from the original Stargate film, Stargate The Ark Of Truth, Stargate Continuum, Stargate Atlantis, Stargate Origins, Stargate SG-1, and Stargate Universe.
The agreement was brokered by Rocket Licensing.
“We are so thrilled to be working with MGM and Rocket on this series of prop replicas, ships and die cast,” commented Darren Epstein from Heathside. “As big fans of the films and TV series, we are excited to offer new ranges of product under our Master Replicas and Khadou brands.”
Robert Marick, Head of MGM Consumer Products said, “The team at Heathside is known for their high quality collectibles and the line they are releasing for Stargate is sure to delight fans of the franchise. Through this collaboration, we are continuing to offer additional ways for fans to enjoy Stargate well beyond the content on screen.”
Rather than releasing all the ships in one go, Heathside Trading Ltd will be making a curated selection of vehicles, prop replicas and figures available over the course of the license through Master Replicas. This will allow fans to add to the continuance of their collections, with selected resellers who will be making stock available on a limited basis online.
Since its introduction in 1997, Stargate has become a cultural phenomenon, capturing the imaginations of SF lovers and inspiring legions of fans around the world. The Stargate franchise includes three TV series, three films, an animated series and a web series, with millions of Stargate DVDs sold, and several spin-offs into games, comics, trading cards and more.
