It’s all change at Doctor Who Magazine, with Jason Quinn (former editor of Doctor Who Adventures) soon taking on the role of editor on the long-running title. Ahead of the changeover, Jeremy Bement caught up with Marcus Hearn, who was the current editor when they chatted, for another entertaining Doctor Who – Panel to Panel Podcast.
During Episode 164. “The Liberation of Marcus Hearn“, the veteran editor chats about all things Doctor Who, from publishing the magazine and working with showrunner Russell T. Davies, and the comic strip, discussing how the Fourteenth Doctor was brought to DWM ahead of the upcoming TV specials.
Although he’s stepped out of the hot seat, Marcus will still be working on the bookazine and various special projects (Special Operations, perhaps?) – and we wish him the very best of luck with those.
The podcast includes two reviews, for the penultimate episode of DWM’s “Liberation of the Daleks”, starring the Fourteenth Doctor, as portrayed by David Tennant, the other for the classic TV Century 21 Daleks story “Plague of Death”. Plus, there’s some Doctor Who comic news, too.
