Also, Professor in Visual and Material Culture, School of Humanities and Social Science at the University of Brighton, Annebella Pollen, discusses her research into how comics help kids connect with photography.
Annebella’s research areas include mass photography and the popular image, and histories of art, craft, design and dress, especially marginal, vernacular, alternative, countercultural and non-canonical forms. She is part of the Photography Research Excellence Group and Comics and Graphic Narratives Research Excellence Groups.


Plus, graphic novelist, artist and educator Ottilie Hainsworth, author of the graphic novel, Talking to Gina, talks about combining drawings and writing in her teaching.
