The charity People First Merseyside is running a fund-raising, comic art-inspired charity auction – and there are some terrific items on offer on eBay right now, including work by by 2000AD art droids such as Charlie Adlard, Mark Buckingham, D’Israeli, David Hitchcock, Mick McMahon, Bryan Talbot and Steve Yeowell.
People First Merseyside is a regional self advocacy charity that has supported adults in Merseyside for over 25 years, run by and for adults with learning disabilities. Their work helps improve confidence and self-esteem, reduce social isolation, improve psychological well-being and gives people more choice and control over their lives.
The auction includes numerous sketch covers with original art, original comic art and a brilliant signed Tank Girl bundle.
Last year, the People First Merseyside ran a sketch cover charity auction and raised an amazing £5,237 through the generosity of the comic book community. This money is invaluable in helping People First Merseyside continue supporting adults with learning disabilities to speak out, be respected and live active, healthy and happy lives.
