The Philippine International Comics Festival has extended its Call for Entries for strips for its planned South East Asia Kommunity Anthology until 31st December 2023.
The PICOF team is asking comic creators from the South East Asia comics community to share an eight to 24 page one-shot comics that represents you, your culture, and your country.
“Include a ‘breakthrough’ moment – a topic, or theme, you want to break through, break away, or break free from,” they ask. “Let’s co-create a future where we are all equally important and celebrated as a comics creator from the SEA Kommunity.”

The fourth Philippine International Comics Festival, which has run online over two consecutive weekends this month, is currently running for the rest of today, via Zoom, and registration is free via this link.
It features more creators, festivals, scholars, and experts to discuss more things to love about comics.
Creators involved this year have included Bambi Eloriaga-Amago, Och Gonzalez, RH Quilantang, Divine Gil-Reyes, Bambi A. Rodriguez, Duy Tano, Randy Valiente (from the Philippines); Paul Gravett, Karrie Fransman and Jonathan Scott (from the UK); Gene Ha, Jimmy Palmiotti and Geoff Thorne (from the United States); Campbell Whyte (Australia); Belinda Billen and Eva “Ephameron” Cardon (from Belgium); Kifurai (Indonesia); Adam Pasion (Japan); Ryu Jung Hye and Kim Yangsu (Korea); Nadhir Nor (Malaysia); and Shreya Davies, CT Lim and Wayne Rée (Singapore).
