The Phoenix Comic – the brilliant children’s comic published by David Fickling Comics – has extended its distribution a step further and is now on sale in selected Waterstones bookshops.
The Phoenix is a weekly story comic for children, packed full of thrilling, original content that’s built to entertain, including deep serial-stories to savour, one-off adventures to be swallowed whole, funnies to feed the sense of humour and loads more including puzzles, competitions, excerpts from the best new children’s books and non-fiction that might even raise the dead.
All the comic’s content is completely original and includes regular contributions from world-class authors and illustrators. With a host of very different art styles and a range of storytelling methods each contributor offers something unique and genuinely brilliant to the comic. Check out some of the current contributors right here now.
Launched in January 2012, the title used a subscription model to develop its audience, but is also on sale in selected Waitrose supermarkets and a number of independent bookshops (listed here on the Phoenix web site)
