If you haven’t already bought the brilliant Power Pack of Ken Reid collections release earlier this year, then there’s a new incentive to tempt you – some cracking Frankie Stein prints!
Published by Irmantas Povilaika, the man behind the Kazoop! blog, the two volume set is an official collection of cartoonist Ken Reid’s contributions to Odhams comics of the 1960s –Wham!, Smash!, and Pow! – in two handsome official hardback books.
Strips featured in the collections are “Frankie Stein”, “Queen of the Seas”, “Jasper the Grasper”, “The Nervs” and “Dare-a-Day Davy” – strips written and drawn by Ken at the height of his powers as a cartoonist on a par with Leo Baxendale and Giles.
The two collections were published thanks to a major crowdfunding campaign, but copies are still available, and Irmantas is offering four Frankie Stein prints to new buyers – prints that are completely different to those that were part of some crowdfunding packages.
Measuring 297 x 190 mm, the prints are smaller than those that came with the books during the crowdfunding campaign, but they fit perfectly inside the books – so won’t have to be folded when packed. Irmantas will be including two prints per book in any order for a limited time
