Egmont Publishing‘s latest issue of Showcase magazine, on sale now, is a special based on the popular Nick Jr. television series, Nella the Princess Knight.
Nella is an eight-year old picture-perfect princess, but that’s only part of her story. She’s more than a princess, and more than a knight. She’s a princess knight!
With the help of her friends, Sir Garrett, Trinket, and Clod, Nella breaks barriers, challenges expectations, and fights for justice during every adventure. A hero unlike any other, Nella always stays true to herself through determination and courage.
The television show focusses on problem-solving & heroism with heart. Its messaging empowers children to be more like Nella, a self-confident girl who defends her kingdom with kindness.
As well on as having proven very popular on TV, the pre-school property has also amassed over a massive 2.5 million installs of the app, Nella the Princess Knight: Kingdom Adventures. The positive portrayal of a strong heroine who breaks the fairy tale norm has also been heralded by press for its refreshing spin on traditional gender roles.
