Panini Comics UK releases a smashing Essential Guide to Captain Marvel bookazine next week, just ahead of the Marvel movie release on Friday 8th March – although some downthetubes readers have already bought copies.
From ace pilot to one of Earth’s greatest champions, Carol Danvers is a hero who’s spent her whole life reaching for the stars!
This new Bookazine, edited by Ed Hammond with assist from Simon Frith, offers some of Carol Danvers’ classic adventures as Ms. Marvel battles the deadly Kree warrior Ronan the Accuser, tangles with a race of fearsome subterranean lizard men and receives a serious boost to her abilities.
Also included is the critically acclaimed modern rebirth of Carol Danvers, as she claims the title of Captain Marvel for her own.
Finally, Carol, her Flerken’ cat, Chewie and Rocket Raccoon find themselves trapped
in a spaceship with a very hungry – and very angry – alien invader!
Reprinting Ms. Marvel #19-21, Uncanny X-Men #164, Captain Marvel #1 and Captain Marvel #7-8, the collection also includes background on Captain Marvel’s comicbook journey with exclusive creator interviews, art galleries, character bios and more.
Overall, it’s a great introductory guide to the character and the road she’s taken – worth looking out for in your WHSmith.
