Derek Tyler Attico is a bestselling, award-winning speculative fiction author, photographer, screenwriter, and role-playing game designer. His first screenplay won the Excellence in Playwriting Award from the Dramatists Guild of America, his debut short story placed first in the Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Anthology contest, and he received a Scribe Award nomination for his first novel, Star Trek: The Autobiography of Benjamin Sisko. As a dedicated educator, he teaches storytelling for sequential art and mentors writers through workshops. Derek also advocates for the arts and human rights, contributes to the Star Trek Adventures tabletop role-playing game, and hosts the podcast Soul of the Story, exploring the craft of storytelling with creative professionals.

Michael Dismuke is a writer, editor, podcaster, producer, workshop presenter, and corporate communicator with a passion for storytelling across genres and platforms. He is the lead writer of Captain’s Log Solo RPG and a contributor to over 20 Star Trek Adventures publications from Modiphius Entertainment. He also wrote some terrific short stories for Star Trek Explorer magazine. In 2011, Michael self-published his Gamemasters manga, earning a spot on San Diego Comic Con’s Comic Connection panel. As part of The Yellow Hand, he collaborates on RPGs like Ashland, Sentience, and Tales of Menace & Mystery. As co-host of the Continuing Conversations podcast, Michael explores the TTRPG and storytelling space. He also leads workshops at conventions and conferences, helping individuals and organisations unlock the power of narrative.

Kelli Fitzpatrick is a science fiction writer, gamewriter, and teacher. She authored the 2025 novel Captain Marvel: Carol Danvers Declassified and writes for the Star Trek Adventures role-playing game from Modiphius. Her Star Trek story “The Sunwalkers” won the 2016 Strange New Worlds contest from Simon and Schuster. Her short fiction is published by Baen Books, Flash Fiction Online, and more, and her essays on sci-fi pop culture appear in StarTrek.com and Women at Warp. She has written for NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope outreach team and Arizona State University’s Interplanetary Initiative. She teaches fiction craft and game writing at Iowa State University and at conventions across the United States.

Jim Johnson is the author of several Star Trek stories and essays, the Potomac Shadows urban fantasy series, the Pistols & Pyramids weird western series, and a variety of other writings. He is the project manager and line editor for the Star Trek Adventures and Captain’s Log roleplaying games, both published by Modiphius Entertainment.
Jim is also the co-host of the Continuing Conversations podcast, which celebrates Star Trek and the power of creative, collaborative storytelling. When he’s not writing, editing, or watching some form of Star Trek, you can find him building new creations with LEGO building bricks, reading voraciously, or making a mean bowl of popcorn.
