Fashion designer Stella McCartney and Beano Studios have collaborated once again, to create a new kid’s autumn/winter fashion collection featuring characters from Beano and Dandy comics. Here’s a peek at some of the new collection.
The AW18 Stella McCartney kid’s collection, which consists of t-shirts, jeans and velvet puffers for boys and girls, will be available to purchase from June onwards from Stella McCartney online and selected stores.

Each garment features a unique design, chosen by Stella, featuring classic Beano and Dandy characters including Minnie The Minx, Korky the Cat, Cuddles and Dimples and Dinah Mo. The range features a total of 40 bespoke designed pieces, 30 starring Dandy characters and 10 with Minnie the Minx characters.
Both of the comics have a special place in Stella McCartney’s heart, as her father Sir Paul McCartney had a cameo feature in The Dandy’s final issue in 2012, after he said in 1963 it was his life’s ambitions to appear in the comic strip.
The AW18 range is designed for girls, boys and babies and is available in sizes new-born to 14+ years.

“The Beano was a huge part of my childhood and the rebellious and fun nature celebrated in the comic led the design process of the new collection,” says fashion designer Stella McCartney. “Following the success of the Dandy woman’s range last year, we were keen celebrate the next generation of Beano fans with a sustainable and practical range for kids who still share that ‘Beano’ spirit of these iconic characters”.
“Working alongside world-renowned fashion designer Stella McCartney and her team, once again, to bring to life the iconic British comic characters Minnie the Minx, Korky the Cat and Dinah Mo, is a fantastic opportunity,” says Emma Scott, CEO at Beano Studios.
“Stella has a brilliant understanding of our Beano characters and their bold and rebellious personalities. In this new range, Stella brings famous Beano and Dandy heroes to life in a new and dynamic way, which connect with Beano children of today.”
• The range will be stocked at Stella McCartney online and selected stores from June 2018
