The Comic Collector launches first regular eBay auction, offering Beano Book Number One, Warlord Fan Club pack and more
A rare original 1940 Beano Book is just one of the British comic items on offer from The Comic Collector this weekend, as the eBay auctioneer and comic shop launches its first regular monthly event.
Beano Book Number One (1940)
The book is in a well loved state, with a respectable spine, grubby boards, and a slightly loose cover board… But don’t judge a book by its cover – the interior is in nice condition with very few tears, some minor scribble and is extremely readable.
Also in the auction, which is live now, launching at 5.00pm UK time on Saturday 22nd August, and lasting 10 days, is an original full Warlord Fan Club pack, a full year of Hotspur from 1963 and high quality copy of the 1951 book Black Bob the Wonder Dog, from The Dandy.

“For my auctions, I have some very nice comics planned to be sold, each with a 99p start bid and no reserve,” owner and auction runner Willoughby Hurrell tells downthtubes.
Offering a range of British comic items on a regular basis, we’re told the company will do deals on some items, and they are interested in buying all pre-millennium comics and comic related ephemera, single issues or complete collections.
