Mike Williams catches up with The77 anthology team member Ben K Sy for the latest Lakes International Comic Art Festival Podcast, editor of the new retro anthology. Currently seeking crowdfunding support, its original target well and truly smashed, the new comic will showcase both new and established talent. Check it out here on Kickstarter.
The77 aim to have a presence at this year’s Festival in October – and Early Bird Tickets are tickets on sale now!
Pete Taylor also chats to London-based cartoonist Adam Falp about the comic process and his new comic, Atomic Hercules, created with Tony Esmond.
Tom Stewart reviews the comic, the story of the last reliable sword arm on a world infested with mutants and psychopathic androids another title seeking support on Kickstarter.
Back at the windswept Podcast Bunker, Nikki Bates and Ian Loxam review The LICAF 2019 Journal Comic by Jibė, which is free to read at comicartfestival.com, A Seed Named Hope by Joe Latham, an absolutely beautifully realised story on the theme of dealing with loss that he very kindly shared on Twitter last week and is also available to download direct here, and Doctor Murder and the Island of Death by Emil Friis Ernst.
