Vice Press have announced a licensing agreement with ITV Studios Global Entertainment for an ongoing series of limited-edition art prints and collectable pin badges featuring Thunderbirds and many more of Gerry and Sylvia Anderson’s classic titles.
Working with a handpicked selection of renowned artists, designers and illustrators, Vice Press will be faithfully creating original art prints and enamel pin badges celebrating Thunderbirds, Stingray, Captain Scarlet, Space: 1999 and many more. Each release will only be available in a very limited edition.
Vice Press will start to release artwork and Collectable pin badges from the series from Thunderbirds Day on 30th September 2019, starting with a limited edition Thunderbirds art print by artist Henrik Sahlstrom, a concept artist and illustrator currently working at EA DICE in Stockholm, Sweden who’s previously contributed to other Vice Press art projects such as Zarjaz! An art tribute to 40 years of 2000AD. His list of projects include video game titles such as Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena and Syndicate.
There’s a Thunderbirds fine artwork by 2000AD artist Jake Lynch, too, featuring the vehicles in space that could have been ripped from a story in TV Century 21 – a limited edition of just 175 prints.
Also in the pipeline are Thunderbird 1, Thunderbird 2, Thunderbird 3, Thunderbird 4 and Thunderbird 5 enamel pin badges designed by Florey, an artist and designer from Melbourne, Australia, whose clients include Marvel, DC, AMC, Peanuts and Namco-Bandai.
Look out too, for a Space: 1999 poster by Raid71 aka Chris Thornley.
