Vice Press, under license from Rebellion, has announced the next releases in their officially licensed line of limited edition 2000AD art prints.
The new release is inspired by a classic “Judge Dredd” story, and has been lovingly produced by Vice Press co-founder Matt Ferguson and features 2000AD‘s lawman of the future.
“Block War” by Matt Ferguson – which I think you’ll agree, looks stunning in both variants – will debut at the Vice Press booth at the Manchester Film and Comic Con this coming weekend, 21st – 22nd May 2016.
It will be released online at 6.00pm BST on Wednesday the 25th May exclusively at www.Vice-Press.com.
“One of my favourite old school Judge Dredd stories has always been ‘Block Mania’,” says Matt.
“It’s a story that really shows the day to day workings of a street level Judge and that was my jumping off point for this print.
“I wanted something graphic and exciting so I limited myself to just two colours and went from there,” he continues. “It’s always cool to see Dredd on his Lawmaster and I thought why not have him jumping off an overpass to get down to some rioting citizens, as soon as I thought of that element the rest of the print fell in to place pretty quickly.”
