Over at The Illustration Art Gallery, there’s a rare – and not inexpensive! – opportunity to buy a signed, unique original artwork by the late comics genius, Moebius.
On offer is a magnificent watercolour painting by Moebius – his unique take on Edward Hopper’s iconic painting, Nighthawks.
Painted by Jean Giraud in 1993 for a mixed exhibition paying tribute to Edward Hopper, this brilliant re-interpretation of Nighthawks strikes the perfect balance between reality and fantasy in classic Moebius style and has never been published. It was reproduced in a strictly limited edition of 100 giclée prints.
The Illustration Art Gallery are offering the opportunity to purchase this unique original Moebius watercolour painted and signed by Moebius in 1993.
Professionally matted and framed, it will cost you £42,000, but hey, if you’ve got the money, you don’t really need that new BMW, right?
