Sci-fi and fantasy fuse with high-octane action in this week’s 2000AD, Prog 2425, fronted with a cover from Ben Willsher. Both the current “Judge Dredd” thriller, “The Shift” and the final arc of deep-space drama “Full Tilt Boogie” reach their respective finales this issue, plus “Portals & Black Goo” reaches its penultimate instalment.
Rounding out another packed prog is “The Stack”, a complete ten-page Rogue Trooper tale from Karl Stock and John McCrea.
All of which means the paths have been cleared for new stories are on the horizon, and next week’s 2000AD is the first of 2025’s bumper issues, with 48 pages of what Tharg describes as “utterly ghafflebette Thrills”.
Coming soon, look forward to a “Fall of Deadworld” one-off by Kek W and Dave Kendall, that’s a teaser for the forthcoming next full series, “Justice”; Gordon Rennie and Colin MacNeil collaborate on a 15-page Nu Earth War Tale, “Black Dome”; and Judge Dredd has an encounter with “The Truth Bomber”, by Ken Niemand and PJ Holden.
The Spring Assault is about to begin…
