Nemi - Sugar and Reptiles - SNIP

New Nemi hardback collection, “Sugar and Reptiles”, released in English

Nemi - Sugar and Reptiles

There’s great news for fans of Nemi, the Norwegian comic strip by Lise Myhre, last seen in the UK in the Metro newspaper before the publishers stupidly pulled the plug on the strip, back in 2016. The latest collection – Sugar and Reptiles – is out now… and it’s in English.

Written and drawn by Lise, Nemi made its first appearance in 1997 under the title Den svarte siden (“the Black Side” or “the Black Page”). The strip was renamed Nemi after its protagonist, a young goth woman.

Originally, the strip was pretty heavy metal subculture-focused but over the years Lise has turned it brighter, though she still frequently publishes strips about serious issues, especially in the larger Saturday panels.

Sugar and Reptiles, runs to 160 pages and is entirely in English and features strips not seen in the four books that Titan published some years ago.

Published by  Norwegian publisher Tronsmoyou can order a copy from this link, and find out how to get it signed by Lise, too.
