Two original oil paintings by comics artist Roland Davies – probably best known to downthetubes readers as the creator of the newspaper strip, “Come on, Steve” – are currently up for sale on eBay.

Best known for his comic strip work across several decades, as we previously noted, Roland Davies turned to oil paintings of aviation, marine and scenic street scenes in the 1970s.

On offer are two original oil paintings – a pair of London street scenes, probably created in the 1980s, measuring 39cm x 32cm and 33cm x 29 cm respectively.

The paintings are being offered as a pair offers are welcomed by the seller for single items if so desired – “but be a shame to split them!” says the seller.
