They Are The Law! Thrash Metal Band Anthrax have joined forces with Rebellion Publishing for a headline takeover of issue 500 of Judge Dredd Megazine next year.
In January 2027, the monthly Judge Dredd Megazine celebrates issue 500 with a packed lineup of new stories from the hottest creative talent in the comics industry today – and it’s headlined by a major collaboration with the legendary metal band Anthrax!
Anthrax will be crashing into Judge Dredd’s world as they team up with writer John Reppion and artist Kieran McKeown (Judge Dredd: One-Eyed Jacks) for a new double-length story featuring Judge Dredd, The Dark Judges…. and Judge Anthrax?”
In the tale, a new Dark Judge arrives with a bang, and Judge Dredd is right in their crosshairs! Who is the mysterious and powerful Judge Anthrax – and what are their intentions for Dredd’s home of Mega-City One?
The news comes after the release of Anthrax’s massively anticipated new album Cursum Perficio earlier this year, their first album release in a decade, which smashed straight into the Top 10 of the Billboard Chart. Celebrating Anthrax’s long-running connection with 2000AD, this new collaboration also marks forty years since the release of “I Am The Law”, the iconic single from the band which was heavily inspired by the world of Dredd and is a bona fide thrash metal classic.
January’s 100-page Megazine also features a new lineup of stories, perfect for first-time and lapsed readers! From the vampiric exorcist Devlin Waugh’s return to the pages of the Meg to a new adventure for Psi-Div’s finest, Judge Anderson, this issue has everything a new reader could want!
And what is The Mega-City 500? You’ll have to read the issue to find out!
With a regular cover by artist Stewart K. Moore and a special variant cover by Toby Willsmer which debuts Judge Anthrax to the grand stage of Judge Dredd Megazine, Rebellion kicking off the new year with some extreme Heavy Metal – just the way we like it!
So don’t miss out – Judge Dredd Megazine brings all the power of Anthrax to the comics page for a mega-strength jolt of Thrill-Power – available this January…
