Now in its twelfth month, 2000AD and Radio Times artist Graeme Neil Reid‘s Art Raffle returns with two slices of British TV science fiction on offer.

Graeme is a Scottish artist living and working in Fife, Scotland. With a strong sense for traditional skills, he’s as easily at home creating unique illustrations on paper, board and canvas as he is digitally in Adobe Photoshop, Manga Studio, Art Rage and various other applications.

His work has graced books (The Dangerous Book of Heroes), television (World’s Strongest Man), gaming (Need for Speed),
magazines (Radio Times), comics (2000AD and Judge Dredd) and much more.

The paintings on offer this month in his wonderful Art Raffle are a “Bill Potts” watercolour featuring the most recent Doctor Who companion; and an acrylic and watercolour artwork of Blake’s 7‘s iconic alien vessel, the Liberator.

The last series of Doctor Who saw a brutal transformation for companion Bill Potts as she was converted into a Cyberman in the thrilling end of series storyline. But “Where there’s tears, there’s hope.” This watercolour painting captures that first moment when the Doctor confronts the newly ‘upgraded’ Bill.

Travelling back to the late 1970s for the second painting and the Terry Nation-created sci-fi classic Blake’s 7. The BBC budget might have been low but the design of the Liberator made it a fan favourite and was the spaceship of choice to fight against the evil forces of the Terran Federation. This is an acrylic and watercolour painting depicting the iconic craft used by Blake and his companions.

Both paintings are created on Arches Cold Pressed 300gsm watercolour paper at A6 (15cm x 10.5cm) size.

Entering couldn’t be easier, by pledging just $1 a month on Graeme’s Patreon site you get entered into the Art Raffle plus rewards including Work in Progress posts, Art Club with first chance to buy his art, postcards, PDF sketchbook, supporters portraits and a discount at his Etsy Store.

The competition will run until midnight (GMT) of the 31st August 2017, and the winner will be notified shortly afterwards. The winner will get to choose one of the two paintings as their prize and the other painting will be available to buy, first to Graeme’s Patreon supporters with an added discount and then in his Esty shop.
