2000AD Prog 2091 - Cover SNIP

In Review: 2000AD Prog 2091 (plus, a plug for the new Brink and Lawless books out now from Rebellion)

2000AD Prog 2091 - Cover

Mark Harrison might have delivered a dramatic cover and a stunning episode of “Grey Area” for this week’s 2000AD (Prog 2091), but it seems it’s Dan Abnett who’s taken over Rebellion’s output this week more than anyone else, with collections of Brink Book Two and the terrific Lawless: Long Range War (from the Judge Dredd Megazine) both out now – details below.

Phil Winslade‘s art on Lawless: Long Range War is absolutely astonishing – you really should take a look and give this series a try.

In 2000AD, it’s good to see David Hitchcock on a new “Terror Tales”, but it’s surely Argentinian artist Leonardo Manco, who delivers an astounding episode of “Judge Dredd” who’s work is going to be most talked about. You’ll recall this DC Comics and Marvel artist’s work on the “Rogue Trooper” story in Prog 2050 last year, but this story really hits the spot.

Episodes include:

Judge Dredd » A better class of criminal (part 1)
By Rory McConville (Writer) Leonardo Manco (Artist) Chris Blythe (Colourist) Annie Parkhouse (Letterer)

With unemployment endemic and boredom universal, tensions are always on a knife-edge. Crime is rampant, and only the Judges — future law-enforcers empowered to dispense instant justice — can stop total anarchy. Toughest of them all is JUDGE DREDD — he is The Law!
