Anderson Entertainment has announced an expansion of its licensing agreement with ITV Studios which will see the company founded by Gerry Anderson release special, limited-edition Blu-ray and 4K versions of classic Gerry & Sylvia Anderson series, including Space: 1999, Captain Scarlet – and Thunderbirds, the latter show commemorating its 60th anniversary this year.
This expanded partnership allows Anderson Entertainment to engage with its ever-growing global fanbase, offering a range of special edition releases that celebrate the enduring legacy of these iconic shows.
A key highlight of this collaboration will be the high-definition release of Thunderbirds on Blu-ray in its original 4:3 format – something Anderson fans have been eagerly anticipating for over a decade.
All 32 episodes will be released in HD in their original 4:3 format with original mono soundtrack, and accompanied by new bonus features for fans and collectors to enjoy. This definitive Blu-Ray release will also include the three new anniversary episodes produced in 2015, previously only available to those who backed the original Kickstarter campaign, plus new bonus features.

I’ve just checked the iTVX app on my Apple TV and while they may have adverts, those episodes are definitely in HD and in 4:3. Maybe not 4K but it’s at least HD because it’s crystal clear, highly detailed and the picture is the original ratio.
Hasn’t been released on Blu-ray in that format, though.
