Darn it! I’m late giving this week’s Awesome Comics Podcast a plug. This week, it’s the turn of super busy, super talented Swedish comic book artist and designer Jennie Gyllblad to take centre stage as guest – the mind behind some good natured filth, the ‘smutty’ anthology comic, Jenitales!
Jennie joins the ACP crew and throws the show into the best kind of chaos. She talks about how her new NSFW comic project came to be, her path to becoming a full time comics artist, running a Patreon and so much more.
Jenitales (Yes, that is a terrible pun that Jennie decided to stick with; I’m glad you noticed!) is an anthology of short digital smut comics. The Green Fairy – the first of these “quickies” – has already been finished and can be found here. Jennie recently ran a no-holds barred, thoroughly shameless Kickstarter to fund the second Jenitales short story, which easily achieved its modest funding goal of £250 and was backed to the tune of over £3600 by fans of her great NFSW work.
This may be one of the funniest shows yet, and it certainly earns the ‘explicit’ label as Jen becomes the first guest to use the term ‘Lady Garden’, Dan Butcher tells a story about a sexy interactive robot, Vince Hunt gets picked on so much he forgets how many pro artists the gang have had as guests and Tony Esmond finally gets the conversation about furries he’s always wanted – which ends up with everyone picking out what animal they would be.
Yep, this episode is definitely for mature audiences. Especially the immature ones who are prepared to laugh a lot.
