BEANO and Doctor Who Magazine artist and writer Lew Stringer has some of his crazy comic art for sale, two featuring his own characters, Brickman (a parody of Batman) and Combat Colin – and a “Daft Dimension” strip from Doctor Who Magazine, too.
If you’ve never read or heard of Brickman, then here’s a great way to step into the crazy world of this hapless superhero. On offer direct from Lew are unread editions of Brickman Begins! (2005) and Brickman Returns! (2015) in excellent condition – the complete Brickman saga! Plus, there’s a brand new A5 size piece of Brickman original artwork all as one lot. You can bid on this package here…

Also on offer is a very early Combat Colin strip that features the very first appearance of the Combat Plane (and the second appearance of Colin’s sidekick, Semi-Automatic Steve) It was published in Action Force No.13, way back in 1987!

Finally, how about one of Lew’s Daft Dimension strips from Doctor Who Magazine? This one features the alternate Earth Tenth Doctor and Rose, and a cameo by her parents, and first appeared in Doctor Who Magazine 518. You can bid on the original artwork here.

Lew Stringer should need no introduction to most downthetubes readers. He’s work as a professional humour comics artist and writer and have been freelancing full time since 1984, creating many characters such as Tom Thug, Pete and his Pimple, Combat Colin, Brickman, Robo-Capers, Derek the Troll, Suburban Satanists and others.
He’s currently drawing “Daft Dimension” for Doctor Who Magazine and strips for the BEANO – but is always interested in new projects!
• Bidding ends this Sunday, 23rd January 2022. Good luck! | Check out Lew’s items for sale on eBay and save him as a seller here
