It’s time to cast your votes – or at least your “Likes” – for the upcoming LICAF LIVE presents… A Coronacartoon Virtual Exhibition!
Over the past few months, the Lakes International Comic Art Festival has collected together cartoons on the theme of Covid-19 and the Coronavirus Pandemic, and plan to put these into a virtual exhibition over the weekend of LICAF LIVE (9th – 11th October).
Have a look through the gallery on their Facebook Page, then simply like the ones you like. LICAF will then track and trace your preferences, robustly test them and isolate the winners.
“We’ll virtually crown (which seems more appropriate than a medal, or trophy) the ultimate Coronacartoon, with virtual runner up prizes for second and third place,” says challenge co-ordinator Sim Leech.
“Much has been, is being, and is yet to be, written about the Coronavirus crisis. Each of us is being affected across a wide spectrum of ways, from positivity, through mundanity, to negativity and even, of course, tragedy. We have collected cartoons that reflect aspects of the virus which are funny or serious, global or local, political or personal, touching or perhaps even (to some) offensive.
“We have tried our very best to correctly credit all the artists, but please let us know if we have any wrong!”
