Walking Dead artist and UK Comics Laureate Charlie Adlard is back chatting with the Lakes International Comic Art Festival Podcast team this week.
Charlie helped kick off the Podcast almost two years ago with his involvement in the very first episode and he’s back to discuss his term as UK Comics Laureate, a role he took on from Dave Gibbons, and hands over to Hannah Berry on 1st March.
Charlie looks at the role and what it initially went leading to how he felt he has made a difference over the two years.
Podcast hosts Ian Loxam and Nikki Bates also review Batman TMNT Volume One, while Mike Williams looks at translated comics from around the world, starting with a French SF fantasy.
Featured in the podcast: the Festival’s Traces of the Great War teaching resources, the Laydeez Do Comics Award Long List, Graphic Medicine‘s upcoming conference in Brighton in July, and news of Lyndon White‘s upcoming Kickstarter for his latest project, The Call of Cthulhu.
