Swiftly following up the launch of its Wallace & Gromit and Dog Man merchandise ranges, Care Bears fans can now find exclusive apparel and giftware at Forbidden Planet, thanks to a new partnership with Cloudco Entertainment, facilitated by Bulldog Licensing.

Launching in time for the 2025 Easter holidays, Forbidden Planet’s special collection is designed for nostalgic adult fans who may remember the original toys. (And, perhaps, Marvel UK’s long-running tie-in comic, the stories often drawn by Mario Capaldi, absorbing another title, Lady Lovelylocks, during its 147-issue run, not including specials and annuals).
The new FP collection features a range of apparel and accessories, including t-shirts, hoodies, sew-on patches, enamel key rings, and pin badges. The collection also includes a variety of giftware, such as art prints, postcard packs, mugs, tea towels, magnets, and travel pass holders.
A second range of Care Bears merchandise is set to launch later in 2025, with more details to be announced soon.
Introduced in 1982 through consumer products, greeting cards, and later a series of animated television shows and feature films, Care Bears is one of the most popular and endearing children’s properties in the world. Fans of all ages are drawn to the lovable, huggable bears from Care-a-Lot who inspire all to have fun, share, and care.

The Care Bears first appeared in their own television specials in 1983 and 1984, followed by a long-running animated TV series and the leap to the big screen in 1985-87 with The Care Bears Movie trilogy. Care Bears & Cousins, a Netflix original CGI- animated series, launched in autumn 2015. In 2019, a brand-new look and mission for the Care Bears was introduced in Care Bears: Unlock the Magic, a 48 episode, 2D animated series currently airing in the US on Cartoon Network, Boomerang, and Max via its Cartoonito preschool block. With over 40 years of heartwarming adventures, Care Bears were named as “The Number Three Top New Licensee Signed” by License Global Magazine in 2023.
A new Care Bears: Unlock the Magic game launches on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4/5 later this month.
“Forbidden Planet is the perfect home for this Care Bears collection, bringing together fans who love nostalgia and pop culture,” said Bethan Garton, Senior Retail Manager, EMEA at Cloudco Entertainment. “This collaboration is a great way to celebrate the brand’s enduring appeal and give longtime fans something truly special.”
Sophie Yates, Brand Manager at Bulldog Licensing says, “It’s fantastic to be working with the team at Forbidden Planet and we’re excited to see their brilliant Care Bears range launch across their estate.”
Anthony Garnon, Head of Pop Culture at Forbidden Planet, added: “It’s impossible not to love Care Bears! Our range captures this unique brand perfectly – it’s cute, colourful and will bring a smile to all our customers’ faces.”
