Comics Summit heads to Cheltenham in July

The Comics Summit, a brand-new event set up by creators, for creators has announced it will now take place across the weekend of 14 – 15th July in Cheltenham.

The creating comics event, organised by Cheltenham-based Jon Lock of Big Punch Studios, which publishes well-known independent titles Afterlife Inc., 7STRING and Extraversal, will examine the joys and pitfalls of making comics on an independent level for professionals and amateurs alike.

“I’m very happy that the Comics Summit is going ahead this July,” explains Jon. “What’s more, it’ll be free to attend.

“We have a plethora of panellists scheduled to attend from all areas of the independent comics community.

“The Summit is an opportunity for creators to come together, outside of a convention setting to share ideas, tips and tricks and to start a discussion about our community,” he explains. “We hope itwill be a chance for creators to talk in a relaxed setting and share good practice so that we can better do the things we love.”
