Created by David ten years ago this month, Shaman Kane is a gadget-carrying bounty hunter who goes where he is needed, who was added to the Antarctic Press lineup last year. Hard as nails and with a couple of supernatural abilities in his arsenal, he’s regularly against the mystical and monstrous in space, the story developing over time to introduce an entire universe of mystery and mayhem.

In “Shaman Kane: Node One“, the monster fighter Shaman Kane has been unofficially reinstated back into the Shaman order, and transported to a secret Shaman facility which is under attack from evil forces. It’s an SF thriller you don’t want to miss!

San Antonio-based Antarctic Press, comic-booking since 1985, incorporated in December 1984, has published some big hits like Ben Dunn’s Ninja High School, Warrior Nun Areala (Check it out on Netflix- #SaveWarriorNun), Fred Perry’s Gold Digger, and over 5000 other creator owned comic titles.

The publisher relaunched Planet Comics back in 2020, in time for the title’s 80th anniversary, Shaman Kane joining its line up last year, and quickly proving a success.

David will no doubt be celebrating this latest development for his character at Leatherhead Library later day, location of their first Library Con, entry just £4, alongside a huge number of other indie comic talents, including Cathy Brett, Mark Stafford, Alison Sampson and Lucy Sullivan!
