Nestling among a huge number of Star Wars, Real Ghostbusters, Corgi and Dinky toys up for auction at East Bristol Auctions on Saturday 29th July 2017 are a number of items that we think will appeal to downthetubes readers, including some rare Doctor Who annual art and some highly collectible toy cars, and some great James Bond models…
• A rare and original 1985 Doctor Who Annual panel of artwork depicting Colin Baker as The Doctor. Measuring approximately 33cm x 44cm in Watercolour and ink, the published art an be seen on pages 6 and 7 of the 1985 annual. The auction also includes some art published in a High Chaparral children’s annual published in either the 1960s or 1970s
• An original vintage Corgi Toys diecast model 267 Batmobile with Batman and Robin. Within the original box, with display stand, both figures, the part-unused string of missiles, Secret Instructions – and the rare cotton lapel badge (which is usually missing). Condition of the model is generally mint to mint+, and the box being good to very good. Seldom seen in this condition
A rare Century 21 Toys Limited made Battery Operated ‘Moon Bus’ plastic toy. Within the original box, it appears complete (satellite detached), with original rubber tracks to wheels. These toys featured n the “Project SWORD” text stories in the TV21 comic inspired by Gerry Anderson’s TV shows.
An original vintage Corgi Toys diecast model No. 261 James Bond 007 Aston Martin DB5, inspired by the car that appeared in Goldfinger, complete with the ejector seat figure, and “Secret Instructions” to base. Rare.
A rare original vintage Corgi Toys No. 336 James Bond 007 Toyota 2000GT from You Only Live Twice, which is in remarkable ex-shop-stock condition and rare in this form.
A rare vintage Corgi Toys made diecast model No. 268 “Black Beauty” from The Green Hornet TV show. It comes with 3x rockets and 2x discs, which is rare (hands up those who lost them all…)
An original vintage Kenner made The Real Ghostbusters action figure vehicle Ecto 1. Largely good condition, it’s just missing the decals. Comes with top seat and guns, working claw to rear!
