Doctor Who: Panel to Panel Podcast is tinsel tinged!

Episode #116 of Jeremy Bement‘s Doctor Who comics-focused podcast Doctor Who: Panel to Panel is live, and has a touch of the Christmas spirit about it, past and present.

For the present, Jeremy celebrates the holidays by reviewing Titan Comics Thirteen Doctor Holiday Special #2 – in which the Doctor and her companions save Christmas from a contemptible coup by the cantankerous Krampus!

But is everyone’s favourite Time Lord listed under ‘Naughty’… or ‘Nice’?

This is the second half of a fun, festive sci-fi story from Jody Houser (Stranger Things, Spider-Man: Renew Your Vows).

Delving into the past, this episode of the podcast also re-presents an interview with Doctor Who Magazine editor Marcus Hearn.

First released back in 2018 for Episode 94, and repeated for Episode 116 Marcus discusses his career as both a writer and editor, and his love of Doctor Who.

Marcus also touches on his hopes for a collection of the TV Century 21 “The Daleks” strip and offers a fascinating insight into just what classic British comic strip is still “out there” in various archives and held by private collectors – and some of his more dispiriting finds, such as art by Ron Embleton with bootprints on it, or boards recked by water damage. But it’s also very positive about the chances of new collections.
