A new collection of Doctor Who comic strips, The Monster Makers, arrives in bookshops from Panini in September.
Collected from the pages of Doctor Who Magazine, with stories by Alan Barnes drawn by Lee Sullivan and Mike Collins, coloured by James Offredi, join the Fifteenth Doctor and Ruby Sunday as they continue their amazing adventures across time and space…
In Manchester, in the year 2424 A.D., Ruby and the Doctor discover the corruption that lies beneath the city’s surface, and a club so good no one can ever leave. Next, there’s a trip to 1850s Copenhagen, where the travellers meet none other than author Hans Christian Andersen – but things take a sharp turn when Ruby is taken prisoner by a villainous ice queen!
Then, Ruby and the Doctor land in a seemingly quaint town that is invaded by monsters over and over again…
As usual for these Panini collections, Doctor Who: The Monster Makers, due for release 2nd September 2025, includes a full behind-the-scenes commentary section on the making of these amazing stories.

He also edited the comics anthology STRIP Magazine and edited several audio comics for ROK Comics; and has edited several comic collections and graphic novels, including volumes of “Charley’s War” and “Dan Dare”, and Hancock: The Lad Himself, by Stephen Walsh and Keith Page.
He’s the writer of comics such as Pilgrim: Secrets and Lies for B7 Comics; “Crucible”, a creator-owned project with 2000AD artist Smuzz; and “Death Duty” and “Skow Dogs”, with Dave Hailwood.
