Domestika offers Liam Sharp’s comics storytelling course at reduced rate for limited time

Domestika, an online learning project featuring courses offered by key professionals in their various fields, is currently offering a special, limited time discount on comic creator Liam Sharp’s “Imaginary Worldbuilding for Comic Book Drawing”.

Liam’s course offers the opportunity to enhance your storytelling skills by exploring illustration techniques to create rich, believable environments for comic books and other artistic pieces.

In his online course, running across 18 lessons, Liam takes you through his creative technique to create compelling illustrated universes that enhance a comic or story. By combining pencils, ink, paint, and Photoshop, he takes you step by step through creating a detailed universe that can transport a reader into another world.

Over 200 people have enrolled in this recently-launched course, which is currently being offered at under £20, compared with the normal price of just under £60.

Liam Sharp is an award-winning comic book artist, writer, publisher, and co-founder of Madefire Inc. He’s worked with major comic companies, from Marvel, DarkHorse, Image, and DC. Liam’s latest creator-owned project is Starhenge, #2 on sale now in comic shops.

He’s drawn the Hulk, Spider-man, Venom, Spawn, and more recently the best-selling Wonder Woman Rebirth series, “The Lies and The Truth”. He also illustrated an issue of Justice League, a Dark Knight Metal tie-in, and the acclaimed The Brave and the Bold: Batman and Wonder Woman series, which he also wrote, and drew Green Lantern, and Batman: Reptilian for DC’s Black Label imprint.

Domestika is the largest online community for creatives, with millions of professionals and around 2000 courses taught by experts – from winners of the National Design Award, the Pulitzer Prize, and the Goya award to National Geographic illustrators.

The founder of downthetubes, which he established in 1998. John works as a comics and magazine editor, writer, and on promotional work for the Lakes International Comic Art Festival. Working in British comics publishing since the 1980s, his credits include editor of titles such as Doctor Who Magazine, Star Trek Explorer (previously known as Star Trek Magazine) and more. He also edited the comics anthology STRIP Magazine and edited several audio comics for ROK Comics. He has also edited several comic collections, including volumes of “Charley’s War and “Dan Dare”. He’s the writer of "Pilgrim: Secrets and Lies" for B7 Comics; “Crucible”, a creator-owned project with 2000AD artist Smuzz; and “Death Duty” and “Skow Dogs” with Dave Hailwood.
