Lawgiver – the world’s only convention dedicated to Judge Dredd fans – returns this coming Bank Holiday, and it isn’t just dedicated to UK fans. During the first Lawgiver, people travelled from mainland Europe to attend.
Taking place at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Bristol on Monday 25th May 2015, the convention has been created by the fans, for the fans and with many creators in attendance organisers Rule32Promotions promise there will be something for everyone. Creator panels (get your questions ready!), original art for sale, sketches to be drawn, books to be bought and signed – and if you are lucky (and old enough), a pint or two at the bar with legends from the creative world of Judge Dredd.
Further Justice Department Sanctioned activities will be announced at the event – so you’ll have to get along to see what…
Announced guests are artists Jock, Boo Cook, Ryan Brown, Pete Doherty, Patrick Goddard, John Higgins, Nick Percival, David Roach, Dave Taylor and Dylan Teague; plus writers Michael Carroll and Rob Williams; and Oliver Hollingdale, filmmaker & VFX Artist on the Cursed Edge fan series.
Judges will be patrolling this event, including the classic comic style from Planet Replicas, the lauded Dredd 2012 film style and variations on both, so make sure you do one thing while you are enjoying yourself: OBEY THE LAW!
