Tired of hearing about Christmas yet? Let’s jump forward to Easter then as Easter 2015 sees two conventions returning to Scotland, Dee-Con in Dundee and the Edinburgh Comic Con.
Dee-Con has been running under various different names at the Dundee University Students’ Union for many years and is a free manga/anime/cosplay convention that draws 2000+ people to the DUSA Building at the University of Dundee.
In 2015 it will be held on 4 April, which is the Saturday of Easter weekend. 2014 saw the University run their Dundee Comics Expo in the nearby Queen Mother building at the same time and in 2015 we understand that the two events will combined into the same building.
There are more details of Dee-Con 2015 on their website and Facebook page.
After its inaugural event this year the Edinburgh Comic Con returns to the Edinburgh University Students’ Union Potterrow building at Edinburgh’s Bristo Square the weekend after Easter, 11-12 April.
Edinburgh Comic Con is a multi-media convention with the emphasis on comics and currently has Doctor Who and Planet Of The Apes artist Dan McDaid, Marvel UK and Marvel US artist Kev Hopgood, and Doctor Who actor Fraser Hines amongst its scheduled guests.
There are more details of Edinburgh Comic Con on their website and Facebook page. Tickets for the event are now available to buy.
