Continuing its development of computer game-related titles, Egmont Publishing has launched Mind Candy’s World of Warriors in ‘Allabout’ Magazine.
In November 2014 Mind Candy, the creators of the renowned online game Moshi Monsters, launched a new adventure and combat strategy game, World of Warriors. The game has gone from strength to strength, even being named as one of Apple’s Best Games of 2014, and now boasts over 5.5 million players worldwide. The game features the greatest warriors in history, from Ninjas and Aztecs to Knights and Vikings.
World of Warriors magazine is aimed at 6-10 year old boys and provides a deep connection with the historical characters and their worlds, through funny and engaging editorial and is packed with foul facts, scary stats and gruesome gags. The first issue comes with an epic bow and arrow set, official Warriors trading cards PLUS it’s packed with puzzles, posters and an exclusive six-page comic.

The founder of downthetubes, which he established in 1998. John works as a comics and magazine editor, writer, and on promotional work for the Lakes International Comic Art Festival. He is currently editor of Star Trek Explorer, published by Titan – his third tour of duty on the title originally titled Star Trek Magazine.
Working in British comics publishing since the 1980s, his credits include editor of titles such as Doctor Who Magazine, Babylon 5 Magazine, and more. He also edited the comics anthology STRIP Magazine and edited several audio comics for ROK Comics. He has also edited several comic collections, including volumes of “Charley’s War” and “Dan Dare”.
He’s the writer of “Pilgrim: Secrets and Lies” for B7 Comics; “Crucible”, a creator-owned project with 2000AD artist Smuzz; and “Death Duty” and “Skow Dogs” with Dave Hailwood.
