Falcon comic team tease second issue, due for release in October

Ed Doyle and Alan Holloway have just teased the cover of the second issue of their tabloid comic, Falcon, out later this year.

Falcon #2 (Sentinel Comic, 2024)

Inspired by comics such as Eagle, Ed and Alan, also publishers of Sentinel, released the first issue after a successful crowdfunding campaign last year.

Falcon Issue Two is on course for release this Halloween and will be heading to Kickstarter in the middle of August/first week of September. Ed tells us they have 30 contributors lined up for the new edition, and it’s going to be jam packed with strips, illustrated text stories and full page artworks.

“And there’s a Halloween theme running through it,” he teases, “so there’s a few spooky tales included!”

Falcon Issue One, interweaving horror, science fiction, fantasy and humour, included strips by a diverse range of creators, including Alan, Ed, Paul Spence, Stephen Matthews, Graham Puttock, Paul ‘Deadeye’ Dick, Morgan Gleave, Stephen White, David Hitchcock, Michael Powell, Gavin Pollock, Michael Carroll, Jo Bramley, Gary Whitlock and many others.

The latest issue of Sentinel, “Wolfriders”, featuring art by Jack Parsons, is currently in production now after a successful crowdfunding campaign, and Alan and Ed are currently working on a number of projects, including an adaptation of “The Story Of Johnny Rocket“, in the works for release this summer, based on the mini rock opera by Cats In Space.
