There’s a very special night coming up soon at the Dine Restaurant, Edinburgh with Katy Manning, perhaps best known as Jo Grant from Doctor Who – but has done much, much more.
Actor, writer, director, chat show host and woman of many voices, Katy Manning may be best known from her role as Jo Grant alongside Jon Pertwee in Doctor Who, but her long and accomplished TV career started in the seminal ITV series Man At The Top and she has also enjoyed a varied theatre career, from London’s West End to New York, LA to Sydney’s Opera House.
However, there is much more to Katy’s story. Growing up in a famous sporting home, at the age of 11 she began a life peopled with Hollywood legends and later, iconic rock stars of the 1960’s.
At Dine Restaurant, Edinburgh, for one night only, on Monday 30th May, Katy will recall her early years revealing stories she has never told before in an up close and personal interview with friend and Edinburgh Evening News Entertainment Editor Líam Rudden.
Katy says, “People have said I should write my autobiography. I have had some very tempting offers to do so but have no desire to. For one night only, this is it. I shall reveal some bizarre, exciting and occasionally traumatic adventures from my extraordinary life.”
On the night, doors will open from 6.00pm and the evening gets underway at 7.00pm with a gourmet three course menu (included in the ticket price) from Michelin starred Chef Stuart Muir and his multi award-winning kitchen team.
Throughout the meal Katy will welcome fans and after Katy Manning’s Secret Secrets, which will last 90 minutes and include an audience Q&A, will pose for selfies and sign autographs for diners.

For those of you unable to make this event, Katy will be making a more public appearance at Em-Con, 28th – 29th May 2022 at Motorpoint Arena Nottingham Bolero Square, Nottingham NG1 1LA
With thanks to Liam Rudden for the heads up
