Heritage Auctions seeking to ramp up staff in London

Heritage Auctions, the world’s largest collectibles auctioneer, is looking to hire full-time specialists, part-time consultants, and more for its London-based centre.

The company, which recently added new offices in West Palm Beach and Tokyo, with Munich coming later this year, continues to grow worldwide, including recently expanding its presence in Britain to a larger gallery space in Hanover Street, in London’s Mayfair.

Art by the late Paul Neary for the 2000AD "Future Shocks" tale by Alan Moore, "All of Them Were Empty", published in 2000AD Prog 251 in 1982. The story features a dystopian universe where sentient cars rule and humans serve at the gas pumps in an unexpected twist on this closing page to "All of Them Were Empty". Ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 12.25" x 14.5". Lightly toned, the text is all hand-lettered paste-ups, whiteout touch-ups, corner bumps and handling wear. In Very Good condition.

Animal Man #10 Splash Page 24 by Chaz Truog and Mark McKenna. Original Art (DC, 1989). Emerging out of billowing smoke, The mysterious Yellow Aliens responsible for Animal Man's powers making their surprising first appearance proclaiming it is now time for them to take charge of reconstructing the decimated Animal Man. Crafted twice-scale up in ink over graphite on DC Bristol board with an image area of 11.75" x 17.5". Blue Pencil editorial marks and light handling wear. In Excellent condition.

Al McWilliams Twin Earths Daily Comic Strip Original Art dated 4-6-53 (United Feature Syndicate, 1953). Russian MiG-15s circle the flying spaceship as they form up for a suicide attack on the alien craft. Created in ink and Zipatone over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 21" x 5.75". Toned, with some glue residue near the paste-up stat logo. In Good condition
