Alongside the new 2000AD, Prog 2404, this month’s Judge Dredd Megazine, No. 473, out this week, is a “Jump On” issue. It comes rammed with stories starting afresh #1, including the fungal fun of “Death Cap”, devilish debauchery in “Devlin Waugh”, repressive rage from “Cadet Rico”, gritty 1970s-style justice in “Fargo & McBane,” as well as the return of the terrific series, “Lawless”!
All that, and it looks like Dredd’s being joined by not just one Sylvester Stallone clone this month – but a whole family of them?
Plus, Karl Stock talks with Anna Readman, who won the Observer graphic short story competition while she was in the middle of drawing “Fargo and McBane”, at the tail-end of 2023, about her burgeoning comics career; and Anna Morozova discusses her work on Dynamite Entertainment’s new “Barbarella” title, and a chat with Joe Currie artist on the 2000AD strip, “Silver“.
But that’s not all! Alongside re-presentations of two classic “Nightcomer” Scream! Special strips, both drawn by Dave Gibbons, the first written by Tom Tully, there’s an interview with Chiara Mestieri, Alejandro Aragón, V.V. Glass, Torunn Grøbekk, George Pooley, Anna Readman, and Emil Schall, some of the creators behind the new Scream! special out on 6th November, too – preview below. Don’t miss out!
