The Lakes International Comic Art Festival Podcast team are celebrating as they hit 100 episodes – our congratulations to the hard working team. Since launching back in 2017, they’ve delivered a huge range of content – comic creator interviews, reviews, and plenty of fun along the way.
To celebrate, Awesome Comics Podcast co-host Tony Esmond (335 episodes and counting) interviews artist and LICAF podcast co-host Nikki Bates, Ian Loxam, Pete Taylor and Mike Williams about the podcast and comics.
“He delves deep into our time as podcast hosts,” Ian says, “and asks some deep and not so deep questions. It was a blast to record and we hope you enjoy it.
“We also talk about the move the Lakes International Comic Art Festival is taking next year, moving from Kendal to Bowness-on-Windermere, which is sounding very positive.”
Across 100 episodes, the Festival Podcast has interviewed a huge range of creators, including Jeff Lemire, Sarah McIntyre, Garth Ennis, Lucy Sullivan, and more – so take a look at the archive, and enjoy a listen to some great comics insights!
“Big thanks for the past 100 episodes goes to Pete and Mike for their help in running the show,” Ian acknowledges, “and the Lakes Festival team, especially Julie Tait and John Freeman, for whom, without their help the podcast wouldn’t be possible.”
If you enjoy the show and want to help support the team, please give them a review on any podcast device.
